Game Tester

Tim Westhaven - Program Coordinator

Tim played his first game of Dungeons and Dragons aged 6 and by age 8 he was running a gaming group at school and attended his first games convention. By age 12 he was designing his own game systems, creating worlds and programming computer games. From there, he went on to work in graphic design, advertising, publishing, games and media. He undertook postgraduate studies in animation at Central Saint Martins college in London after which he worked as a technical director for Jim Henson’s creature workshop, Meteor studios in Montreal and Framestore London, where he was a member of the Academy Award and BAFTA-winning VFX team for The Golden Compass.

Lee Cope - Lecturer

Lee is a writer and a game designer. Currently, it is studying for its PhD in game design, working with augmented reality games, communities that form around games and art, and using games as research tools. It has experience with the TTRPG industry, running events for the Australian Roleplay Community, including Game Dunk (a two-day game jam with a streamed showcase of selected games), and MIGW At the Table.

Mark Egan is a digital artist and creative technologist with over 15 years of experience working with technology in the creative arts. He's built jump-powered flight simulators for schools, augmented reality treasure hunts for museums, sound-reactive video games for musicians as well as audio-visual performances at festivals such as Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival.
