Entry Requirements and Eligibility

No ATAR is required for entry into these courses. Collarts’ Journalism and New Media courses are designed to open doors, not close them.

Entry is based on your interest in journalism, storytelling and media production, along with your motivation to develop professional communication skills. No previous journalism experience is required for entry-level study.

Application pathways include:

  • Direct applications for domestic and international students

  • Year 12 applicants applying through VTAC or UAC

After submitting your application, a Collarts Future Student Advisor will contact you to discuss your goals and preferred study pathway. Successful applicants will receive a formal offer to commence their chosen Journalism & New Media qualification.
