Bachelor of Music Performance

It is ideal for beginners, career starters or performers seeking a direct pathway into the Bachelor of Music Performance.

Bachelor

The Bachelor of Music Performance is designed for musicians ready to develop advanced technical ability, creative depth and professional industry experience. Delivered over 2 years if studied fulltime, this degree combines solo and ensemble performance, songwriting, music analysis and 60 hours of industry placement. Graduates leave with a refined artistic identity, a professional portfolio and the skills to build a sustainable music career.

Double Degree

 The Double Degree in Bachelor of Arts (Music) and Bachelor of Applied Business (Entertainment Management) is suited to performers who want both creative mastery and commercial expertise. Completed over 3 years full-time, this integrated program combines advanced music performance training with entertainment management, marketing and business strategy. It prepares graduates to perform, manage their own careers or lead within the broader music and entertainment industries.

Entry Requirements and Eligibility

Collarts’ Music Performance courses are designed to discover and develop talent. With no ATAR required, these programs are accessible to aspiring musicians from diverse educational and creative backgrounds who are ready to commit to refining their craft and building a professional music career.

Application pathways include:

  • Direct applications for domestic and international students

  • Year 12 applicants applying through VTAC

Entry is based on your musical ability, creative potential and commitment to growth. As part of the application process, you will complete an audition and may be invited to attend an interview. Your audition allows you to showcase your instrumental or vocal skills, artistry and readiness for structured music training.

After submitting your application, a Collarts Future Student Advisor will contact you to discuss next steps.

Successful applicants will then receive a formal offer to commence their chosen Entertainment Management qualification at Collarts.
