The stage manager is a challenging but highly rewarding role for those who love the theatre but aren’t seeking the spotlight. This course offers an extensive look at stage management and coordination within the performing arts, including stage and theatre.
Throughout this Bachelor of Performing Arts in Stage Management, you will:
Gain an in-depth understanding of stage management, coordination and leadership.

At Collarts, we aim to provide you with the skills required for a career while also showing you the practical steps to work towards a role in the performing arts industry.
Play a pivotal role in the successful execution of theatrical productions. Work closely with the director, production team, and cast to handle various tasks to ensure the smooth running of rehearsals and performances. Organise and manage all logistical aspects of the production.
Runs a theatre venue for either a private operator or local council. This includes the hiring of staff, maintaining the facilities as well as the allocation and upkeep of technical equipment.
Taking cues from the Mise en Scène of a performance, lighting designers craft and oversee the lighting for a diverse array of productions, including plays, musicals, operas, concerts, tours, television and movie sets, and art installations.
A theatre director, dramaturge and acting coach, Briony is an arts leader with particular focus on interpreting her experience as artist practitioner into educator. Briony's most recent position was Literary Manager at Theatre Works where she was also Festival Director of the Radical Acts playwriting festival.
