ACMI is Australia's only museum dedicated to screen culture and a cultural landmark in Melbourne's Fed Square. Each year ACMI welcomes around a million visitors a year from around the globe through a vibrant offer of exhibitions, screenings, commissions, industry events and festivals spanning film, TV, video games and screen-based art.
Whether it's a major exhibition, screening, or the design thinking behind the scenes, ACMI's work all comes back to people, technology and ideas, and to backing the creatives who'll shape what comes next. It's a mission Collarts is also committed to as we guide our students to build careers in creative industries.
Our students will get to experience ACMI from the inside. That means curator-led tours and guest lectures, complimentary tickets to exhibitions and VIP openings, and time spent with ACMI's own design and curatorial teams to see how a project comes together, not just the finished result.
The bit we're most excited about is the teaching and learning side. ACMI will work directly with our teaching team on real student projects, writing briefs, giving feedback, and in some cases helping get student work seen publicly. Our students will also be given internship opportunities at ACMI, which means an actual foot in the door at one of the country's most visible and respected cultural institutions.
We're pleased to build on our partnership with the Australian College of The Arts and to give more students a direct connection to screen culture, and to the collaboration at the heart of the industry. Collarts diverse student body closely aligns with ACMI's diverse audiences, and we are always excited to inspire the next generation into further study and skills development.
