Luke Cincotta

Lecturer

With over 15 years experience working in studios all around Australia, Luke is a music producer and audio engineer who specialises in all areas of music production, including recording, mixing, mastering, and songwriting, as well as mixing/mastering music for Dolby Atmos.

​Cutting his teeth at the highly acclaimed Sing Sing studios in Melbourne, Luke has worked closely with a number of major artists, including Karnivool, Jet, Airbourne, Circles, Dead Letter Circus, Stonefield, Matt Corby, Courtney Barnett, The Amity Affliction, Northlane, In Hearts Wake, Tina Arena, The Butterfly Effect, Dream on Dreamer, The Smith Street Band, and many more.

​A lifelong musician himself, Luke is known for his attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with artists to take any project to its full potential. His passion stems from a deep understanding of aesthetics and an established feel for music of all styles.

Throughout his career, Luke has continued to develop his approach to music production, working with some of Australia’s most sought-after music producers, including Paul Mckercher, Dave Nicholas, Dorian West, Steve James, and Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus, Butterfly Effect). He has also worked alongside several top international music producers, including Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Metallica, Aerosmith), Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath, John Farnham, Alice Cooper), Kato Kwhandala (The Pretty Reckless, Blondie, Scar The Martyr) and Will Putney (Amity Affliction, Northlane) on a range of high-profile projects.

Luke is passionate about education, and endeavours to pass his knowledge to young producers and sound engineers. He is a certified Avid Pro Tools instructor, a member of the Music Producers & Engineers Guild, as well as an endorsed member of the Neural DSP Artist roster.
