Dave Carter is an animation director and educator specialising in characters, comedy, and visual storytelling in animation.
He has developed and directed original projects for FX, Netflix, Disney, Screen Australia and the ABC. His short films have been broadcast globally on Hulu, Comedy Central, and MTV, earning awards and accolades at major festivals including Annecy, Anima Mundi, and Fantasia, as well as locally at the Sydney Film Festival, Flickerfest, and St Kilda Film Festival. Dave also had a career retrospective at Fest Anča and was selected by Screen Australia to participate in the prestigious Talent USA program. He has a number of shorts preserved in the National Film and Sound Archive.
