Equitable Learning & Accessibility

At Collarts, creativity thrives when every student feels seen, supported, and empowered. Our Equitable Learning & Accessibility service ensures that equity, care, and inclusion are embedded into your study journey, so you can focus on your growth as both a student and a creative professional.

Why Equitable Learning Matters

Studying at COLLARTS is about more than creative practice it’s about belonging. We know that every student brings unique strengths, challenges, and lived experiences into the classroom. Our role is to make sure those experiences are recognised, valued, and supported.

Equitable Learning is not just about adjustments. It is about building trust, care, and empowerment into every student’s journey. We believe that inclusion is not an add-on, but the foundation of creative education.

What We Offer

Our service provides tailored support that recognises the diversity of student experiences and ensures that adjustments are meaningful, practical, and strengths-based.

Key areas of support include:

  • Individualised Access Plans: Designed around your strengths and needs, ensuring you can engage fully in your studies.
  • Collaboration with Teaching Staff: Working alongside academics to embed inclusion into everyday practice, so your access needs are respected across the institution.
  • Practical Tools and Resources: From study strategies to communication templates, we provide the tools to help you navigate study with confidence.
  • Making Invisible Barriers Visible: We identify and address barriers that may not be obvious, ensuring they are acknowledged and acted upon with care.
  • Trauma-Informed and Neuroaffirming Frameworks: Our approach prioritises psychological safety, dignity, and agency, so you can thrive in both your academic and creative work.
