Nicholas Coghlan is an accomplished teaching artist, actor, and creative producer with over
two decades of experience across stage, screen, education, and the creative industries. His
career spans acting, arts leadership, and multidisciplinary practice, including producing
theatre and film, directing creative companies, and running his own professional photography
business.
As an educator, Nicholas brings a practice-led, industry-informed approach to actor training,
helping students build practical skills, creative confidence, and the professional awareness
needed to navigate the realities of the industry. His teaching philosophy centres on radical
self-acceptance—supporting students to embrace their full humanity and take creative risks
with honesty, presence, and care.
With experience managing productions, leading teams, and navigating the intersections of
creative practice and business, Nicholas brings a holistic understanding of the performing arts
sector. His work is driven by a deep belief in the power of creative education to transform
both artists and audiences.
