PHOTOSHOP: AN INTRODUCTION TO LAYERS AND MASKS
Masks and layers are crucial to whipping up any edited image or graphic, and our Head of Photography Rikki Bunder is here to run you through the basics in Photoshop: An Introduction to Layers and Masks. He'll show you how to work the two tools to mash two animals together: adding fins without erasing fur, avoiding choppy edits, and more. By the end, you'll have a thorough understanding of what makes Photoshop the perfect software for any budding graphic designer or photographer.
REMIXING AN AUDIO SAMPLE IN ABLETON
The right sample can add the right oomph to a song, but how do you make it shine in a mix while making it your own? In this workshop, Music Production Coordinator Mitch Catterall teaches you the ins and outs of remixing a sample in world-class production software Ableton, step-by-step in the Remixing an Audio Sample in Ableton workshop. And the piece of audio that he's transforming? A sample from a song by Joe Exotic of Tiger King fame.
FASHION FIGURE DRAWING
Produce a fashion template (or croquis) from scratch in our Fashion Figure Drawing workshop, online to watch at your own convenience. Fashion templates are line drawings of a figure, made by designers, that's used as a base to illustrate a garment or sketch out a garment idea. All you need is a photo or magazine image that you're ready to splice and rearrange in order to recreate the elongation and animation used in fashion templates!
CREATING CHORDS USING LOGIC PRO
Are you new to music theory but want to put backing music behind you in Logic Pro? This Creating Chords Using Logic Pro workshop, hosted by Music Performance teacher Tim Watson, could be for you! Walking you through Logic Pro features, learn the step-by-step method to creating chords to accompany your vocals or enhance your DJ mix. No need for instruments, and you'll be able to watch the workshop at your own pace.
DIGITAL ILLUSTRATIONS IN ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR
Illustrations don't just require a pen and paper. Using vector images in Adobe Illustrator, you can scale the image to any size, and easily change features like colours, transparency and outlines. Join the Digital Illustrations in Adobe Illustrator workshop to learn how to make the most of the software to create a graphic optimised for Instagram, with our Digital & Social Media lecturer Emma Ismawi.
