It’s been a hot minute since we last celebrated O-Week away from our laptop screens, so this time we’re glamming up and partying loud.
Renowned for bringing the choir to the dancefloor, Melbourne group Sunshine & Disco Faith Choir is ready to elevate the O-Week energy with their blend of gospel, soul, house, techno and live vocals.
Ahead of Thursday’s set, the ensemble's DJ Sunshine shares the top tracks she’s currently got on rotation featuring Gary Beck, Sylvester and more.

GARY BECK
HANDS IN MINE
This track has a special place in my heart. I’ve played it in my DJ sets for over 10 years and it never gets old on the dance floor. It’s a rolling tech house gem with a vocal sample of legendary soul singer Ann Peebles, that hooks you in until the end.
SYLVESTER
Do You Wanna Funk
Sylvester’s voice is iconic. This is my favourite disco track of all time. As soon as the song starts I get a massive smile on my face and I want to jump up and down. It doesn’t even matter what the vocals are saying; the melody of this song is so infectious you can't help but dance.
FLOORPLAN
MADE UP IN MY MIND
I love how this track starts off dark and moody and as it builds it gets brighter and brighter. The vocal and piano sample draw you in and take you through an emotional journey until the end—Gospel house at its best. Where's the church? I’m signing up now.
NICK CURLY
BODYDANCE
Nick Curly is hands down my favourite producer of all time, I love every track of his. ‘Bodydance’ is my current favourite. The bassline on this track sounds incredible on a club system. Dark tech house vibes all the way.
GLADYS KNIGHT AND THE PIPS
I HEARD IT THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE
I love this song so much, the lyrics are up there with my favourite of all time. This is an upbeat chick funk-soul banger version of the classic song with backing vocals that will have you shouting praise.
