Starting higher education study can be overwhelming — not only is there a list of information on logging into platforms, familiarising yourself with services, and understanding your study structure...
...But sometimes there are questions you have that can only be answered by another student or graduate who has lived the course and Collarts life before. Sometimes all you need is someone who understands you from the student perspective.
Luckily, any Collarts student can draw on the knowledge of our new Student Advisors—alumni who are here to help you alongside your studies.
Student Advisors are Collarts staff members who all graduated from Collarts, so they've been in your exact shoes before. They know the campuses like the backs of their hand, remember the Collarts way, and can run you through the services we provide. They remember the first tri nerves and learning process of stepping into a new environment.
There is one dedicated Advisor for each course, so you know they're there for you all the way. And they'll check-in across the trimester to make sure you know it too.
Around four times a trimester, expect a phone call, voicemail, email or text from your Student Advisor, saying hello and ensuring you're thriving in your new community. Expect their check-ins to occur around week three, six, nine, and 12, but if you need a hand with Collarts' support services, they can be contacted at any time as well.
