Collarts is proud to announce our new Exclusive Education Partnership with As The Cocky Flies, a new regional blues and roots "travelling circus".
From the same brains behind A Hitch To The Sticks, the new extravaganza is set to happen over two weekends: Saturday 5th March and 12th March. Collarts students will have the opportunity to perform to a crowd full of avid music lovers; help the festival run smoothly through aspects of event management like ticketing, merch, operations, and more; and capture content across the event in a fast-paced, fun environment.
There are also several intern opportunities for both current students and alumni, who will get to work closely with festival organisers to glean insight into what it takes to build a roving concert or generate hype via social media.
Every circus also needs its ringmaster. For As The Cocky Flies, that's comedy character legend Barry Morgan, who will be welcoming Emma Donovan & The Putbacks, Neil Murray, Dallas Frasca, The Three Kings, with more to be announced.
And jumping from the scenic Mount Beauty to the idyllic Moyhu, you'll come away from the festival with a great appreciation for our rural country.
