In exciting news for the School of Design, Collarts is welcoming expanded course options for our students. Enter the Collarts double degree in Fashion.
Combining learnings from Fashion Marketing and Fashion & Sustainability, the new double degree sees a hybrid structure adapting business practices, responsible design, and ethical processes, perfect for students wanting to take their fashion expertise to new heights.
A forward-thinking program at its core, the Fashion double degree provides a relevant, practical, and comprehensive approach to solving some of fashion's most pressing problems at present, whilst understanding the business and communication practices of the digital era.
Head of Fashion & Sustainability Sarah Conners says, “Sustainability is no longer just a trend in the fashion industry, it is the future."
She continues, "The business and communication savvy that comes with studying fashion specific marketing combined with a solid and practical understanding of the very broad topic of sustainability will make these students an invaluable addition to the future fashion industry.”
Graduates of Fashion Marketing looking to study the combined degree will receive credit for the fashion business, marketing and communication units covered in the course, as well as all the shared units such as Critical Thinking, Careers Development and Industry Placement.
In the final stage of the program, all students will complete a fashion design capstone project to produce a series of prototypes that showcase their capabilities as sustainable fashion practitioners.
Applications for the Fashion Double Degree are now open.
