If you dream of a career as a Copywriter, Graphic Designer, Producer, UX Experience Designer, Media Specialist, Office Manager, Project Manager, Researcher, Account Manager or Account Planner, this Advertising course is for you.

The Advertising course is perfect for students who want to develop critical knowledge and skills in advertising principles. With the opportunity for hands-on application through their creative practice, this course responds to the demand for adaptable and agile communication specialists in the advertising industry.

You will undertake fundamental units in media communications, advertising principles, copywriting and critical thinking. Students will work with real clients to develop industry relationships and their own portfolio.

Students will graduate with a significant body of work that showcases their abilities in advertising and represents who they are as emerging advertising professionals.

Graduates will also be prepared to meet the challenges of a transforming advertising industry in the context of global cultural and economic disruption caused by climate change, technological transformation and disruptors like the COVID-19 pandemic.

Collarts offers students a variety of real-life industry experiences so that they are career-ready when they graduate. With the opportunity to create a capstone project and undertake industry placement, students will leave the course with a well-rounded understanding of the advertising industry, both in Australia and overseas.

The Bachelor of Advertising is perfect for students who want to develop critical knowledge and skills in advertising principles for a professional advertising career.

The Bachelor degree can be completed in six trimesters (2 years) of full-time study or part-time equivalent.

DIPLOMA OF ADVERTISING



The Diploma of Advertising is perfect for students who want to develop critical knowledge and skills in advertising principles for a paraprofessional advertising career.

The diploma can be completed in two trimesters (8 months) of full-time study and you have the opportunity to progress into the Bachelor Degree (subject to academic performance).

Learn a broad-based knowledge of communications and advertising, and the skills of a paraprofessional advertising specialist

Applicants will need to attend an admissions interview. You will be asked questions about your experience, background, and interest in the course and/or industry

Applicants must present a portfolio of recent creative work.

DIPLOMA APPLICANTS

Applicants are required to successfully complete VCALVCEIB, or state/international Year 12 equivalent. If students have not completed the year 12 requirements, they must be at least 20 years of age

Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate a proficiency score of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.

 The Diploma can be used as a pathway into the Bachelor degree

 There are no ATAR minimum or subject requirements
